In the Fall of 2010 The Rhinebeck Antiques Fair decided to add a section to the show dedicated to the restoration and preservation of antiques. This decision was soon validated as the “Restoration Row” proved to be a valuable addition to the already outstanding line up of quality dealers. We have decided to continue this tradition by offering experts in all facets of antiques restoration. From pottery and furniture repair to chair caning and artwork preservation, these experts are on hand to speak with, commision work, and teach you about your antiques.

Roger Krokey

Roger Krokey, full time professional ceramic restorer and proprietor of Terra Nuova Restorations is dedicated to the responsible restoration of a broad range of ceramic antiques and art sculptures, and fully adheres to the ethics and guidelines set forth by the American Institute for Conservation. His customers include some of the most respected dealers and collectors in America.
Broken or chipped ceramic items can be professionally restored to appear as if never broken. This includes the creation of missing pieces and the precise matching of authentic colors, designs, textures and surfaces. A customer may want a limited restoration. This could include gluing the item and filling unsightly chips & voids, but not painting. This limited restoration would cost less and yet the item would still be ready for the invisible restoration at a later date. A customer may desire a crack “stabilized” so it will not split further, or a delicate object simply cleaned.
Terra Nuova Restorations will advise you of the many options available. Each option will be explained clearly along with its expected appearence.
Terra Nuova is a Member of ther Economy of Communion. The EOC is a branch of the Focolare Movement joining over 700 businesses world wide sharing profits to those in need.
Roger Krokey of Terra Nuova Restorations is located in Rhinebeck, NY.
